Compatibility with other compressors and protectors

Code Virtualizer makes only small changes to the original application's PE header, so the file appears unprotected.

After protecting sensitive code with Code Virtualizer, you can normally apply a compatible compressor or another protector to the complete application.

If you have incompatibility problems

If you insert the Code Virtualizer code into the last section, and the relocation section is last, another protector might remove that section to reduce the EXE size. To prevent this problem, enable Strip Relocations, or configure the other compressor or protector to preserve the relocation section.

To hide Code Virtualizer from external analysis tools, select Stealth Mode under Location of Protection Code. This option should also avoid compatibility problems when the file is later protected or packed.
