When I add some Code Virtualizer macros my application requires VirtualizerSDK.dll. I don't want to rely on that DLL, what can I do?

You can insert protection macros in three ways:

  1. Inline assembly, which does not require VirtualizerSDK.dll.

  2. Calls to functions in VirtualizerSDK.dll.

  3. An external assembly module, which does not require VirtualizerSDK.dll.

Visual Studio and Embarcadero compilers support inline assembly in 32-bit applications, so those applications do not normally require VirtualizerSDK.dll.

For x64 and ARM64 applications, the macros normally call functions in VirtualizerSDK.dll. The unprotected application therefore requires the DLL. Code Virtualizer removes this dependency during protection.

The protected application never requires VirtualizerSDK.dll.
