Can VM macros protect switch statements? We are now having an issue with VM macros crashing the application.

Yes. Place VIRTUALIZER_START before the complete switch/case statement and place VIRTUALIZER_END after it.

switch (var)
{
    case 0:

    // your code

    case 1:

    // your code

    ...
}
