Can I change the settings inside the .vm files?¶
The .vm files contain an internal CRC that prevents manual changes. Each VM architecture normally has three predefined variants. For example, TIGER includes White, Red, and Black variants:
-
White provides faster execution with less protection.
-
Red balances protection and execution speed.
-
Black provides stronger protection with slower execution.
The predefined variants cover the usual speed and protection requirements. Incorrect custom settings can produce a weak VM or a large, complex VM with poor performance.
Contact support if you have a specific reason to customize these settings.
